What's so special about Grippions?
Do they come with any mutations?
Actually, yes they do.
Each Subject comes with, up to 3 to 4 mutation types.
So, how does one go about gaining these such mutations?
In order to gain a mutation you must be lucky enough to come across a legendary item that will grant you one mutation.
Another way is to be born with a mutation. Mutations come come from any set parent that has such a mutation(if you are lucky enough to be born with it). There are often cases where neither parent has a mutation and the rare case one hatchling will be born with a mutation.
When you are born with a mutation, it will NOT show on the hatchling straight out. These mutations start to show in their adolescent age.
If you don't wish to wait for a mutation child to be born, or go through the struggle of finding these items, you may buy them with the currency you may gain through events that you take part in.
So what do these mutations look like on each Grippion?
Keep in mind not all Gripps will have all the Mutations open to them.
Other Mutations may show up later in the Group as events show up, or the plot develops farther as the characters grow.
Once a character gets there hands on this item they may then pick one mutation. Each character may have up to 2 active mutations at a time then they can no longer gain another.
It's rare and even legendary for a character to reach and have 3 mutations.
The only way a character may come with a 3rd mutation is by being born with a Mutation Default.
Mutation Defaults
This is a rare and un heard of breed in the mutation family tree.
Defaults are a trait where a hatchling is born with 2 mutations instead of one. This then leaves room for only 1 more mutation to be claimed and placed on that given character.
None now of how this Default mutation comes about or can be claimed. Only 1 of every 100 characters may be lucky, or unlucky enough to carry this trait. Even then, it's no way to say this trait is able to be carried over to it's offspring. Infact it's been known that the offspring of these Defaults are often born with only 1 Mutation, or none at all.
